We created a multi-day workshop called KINDA FUTURE FUNHOUSE for Unseen Amsterdam in 2018.
In this workshop, CORAMU encouraged participants to alter the life of a single photograph through a series of exchanges.
Each participant began with the same photograph by Hippolyte Bayard - the first hoax photograph ever made. This image was circulated amongst the group, and with each exchange a new action was made to the image.
Materials provided included newspapers, magazines, paint, scissors, pens, cameras and printers.
CORAMU also altered the environment at times, by playing Japanese hypnosis, rain sounds, death metal and opera.
Lighting was increased and dimmed, and several participants volunteered to work on their image while blindfolded.
This brought unexpected elements into play, which affected the final outcome of the images.
In the end, there were multiple versions of the same original image - multiple lives lived.
